BITS YOU’LL NEED

• Two 6″ (15.2 cm) lengths of 4×1mm leather lace

• 12-gauge brass wire

• Thread

TOOLS

• Chain-nose pliers

• Flat-nose pliers

• Heavy-duty wire cutters

• Hammer

• File

• Needle

1. With the wire, make a circle a little over 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Overlap the wire by ½ inch (1.3 cm) and cut.

2. On a piece of concrete you don’t care much about, gently hammer the wire until it has a slightly flattened face. Flip it over and hammer until it becomes slightly square. It should pick up the texture from the concrete.

3. With the chain-nose pliers, twist one end to form a little pocket for the other end of wire.

4. It should look like this.
